Title: how many convetional baler per acer

hi i was woundering how many conventional bales do you get of an acer i have got seven for hay and mabey another 2 so say 9 acers how many bales would there be of one acer so i can times it by the amout of acer doing many thanks john

The Indian rope trick comes into play how heavy the bale, how long the bale and how heavy a crop. We used to get 100-120 bales per acre and that was a heavy crop with heavy bales .hope this helps.

Depends on how heavy the crop is and how dense you make your bales - this is varied by the springs on the bale chamber at the back, and how much you wind them down.

All that said I think about 50 is a good number to work on.

Based on blackboard answer I've just looked in my diary at numbers and realised about 100 is probably at better estimate.
