Title: swarm capture...error?
Post by: Fieldfare on July 05, 2013, 10:51:18 pm
Hi all- yesterday a swarm (prob. one of my own) landed 4 foot from an empty hive in a low tree (due to time constraints I had to capture it at dusk dropping it into a bucket). I then popped it into the empty hive. At 9am it was in the hive but unfortunately this afternoon I found it has flown away. Can anyone tell me if I have made an error and what to do to increase my chances if I do get another chance?
Thanks,
