Title: Pineapple upside down cake
Post by: Bert on July 01, 2013, 08:14:22 am

I've been trying to make one for the last 3 days, but can't muster the enthusiasm after I've had my tea, because all the recipes say eat it hot/warm.
So simple question can you eat it cold or dose it go soggy or turn into a house brick?  :yum:   ???

cold is fine, but it doesn't keep well, so make in afternoon and eat with dinner is fine,

i recommend custard to add some warmth back into it!!!

I love pineapple upside down cake but mrs b is allergic to pineapple so doesn't happen often any more

Maybe plum or peach upside down cake for Mrs?

NB don't make it in a loose bottomed tin  :innocent:  Been there.....

You can stick anything in... Rhubarb would be the obvious this time of year. Apricots is nice - apple an all-rounder.
