Title: MY LIFE AS A CAR
Post by: Lizmar on July 23, 2009, 01:35:55 pm
Please don't let me get like this - don't think I'm there yet :-[

IF MY BODY WERE A CAR...

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull ... But that's not the worst of it..

My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things up close

My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.

My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.

It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently.

But here's the worst of it --
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter - either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires!

Not to worry Lizmar...if we don't end up on the scrap heap of life, we can always hope that we will be cherished and cared for in our vintage years...like an old MG, there might be a lot of miles on the clock and the old paintwork and chassis may have seen better days...but she'll always be a classic!

Indeed, and as the French say 'You make the best soup in old pots'  ;D

I'd prefer to be described as a 'classic' rather than an 'old pot', could be a a Mini if I had my fan belt tightened and my rear view mirror adjusted as it currently seems to magnify what it sees!!!  Well may be not a mini, perhaps a well oiled and worn run about :-\

If I went for an M.O.T. I would fail but I still start in the morning, cost little to run and bring joy to my family. ;D
