Was browsing and came across this by chance - might interest someone - 2 acres, ruined cottage - no planning permission but can't see that would eb a problem with the new regulations - £40K.

Hey, that's just down the road from me! Halkirk is a nice village too. Caithness is generally fertile, but can be very windswept and dark in the wintertime - very similar in aspect to Orkney.

We're hoping to go to Skye for 2 weeks in a few weeks time and I've been amusing myself (yes its a bad work day) by looking for property on Skye. I am so addicted to property and land sale sites... ::)
It's so beautiful. Anyone know what lands like for growing, climate etc?
