Title: Sheep and cut grass
Post by: Tala Orchard on June 16, 2013, 09:14:27 am
We need to cut the fields as the grass is getting long we also need to cut the field in which the sheep are grasing, will this be a problem. Is it detremental to let sheep graze on cut grass that has the cuttings there?

Thank you

I've heard that very short cut grass can be problematic to ruminants, but you wouldn't be topping it if it was only a tiny bit too long, so I wouldn't have thought it would harm them, no.
