Title: Quail chicks
Post by: Daisys Mum on June 12, 2013, 10:31:55 am
Out of the 30 eggs that I bought at Lanark I have had 12 hatch over the space of 3 days, still hopeful of a few more. I am feeding them hard boiled egg yolk with some chick crumb is this ok?

  We feed chick crumbs but grind down to a smaller size initially ..... due to them being so teeny.

Mine quite like those seed heads sold for budgies (my age kicking in I cant remember what they are called)
Pecking them gave them something to do.

Mine are a week old now and starting to feather up nicely    they are getting chick crumbs and giving them mealworms something I wasn't sure about at this age but they go mad for them
