hi doganjo  the full litter were checked(ears eyes and heart) at 5 weeks by my pal who is a vet .all were fine . would not sell pup that was not a1 . there is a photo on epupz and pets4homes .couldnt figger out how to put one on here ???
-
No, I meant the KC recommended ones, but I just checked and there don't seem to be any for Borders - healthy little mutts, aren't they! Email photos to anyone on here and they'll put them up for you. I used to know a BT breeder in Aberdeenshire - Baillieswells was his affix - Professor something

I love border terriers but not going to have one................................well not yet :innocent: I have a friend in N Wales thats after a Border Terrier.................too far for her I would imagine but she has one already called Ned
-
Our vet has one - he says lots of vets do because they never see them in the surgery.
We'll have one next - just a bit too soon for us.
-
We see a lady walking 2 twice a day and love them, my friends Border Terrier wonders off a lot to visit ladies :innocent:

Ours must be the exception, severe hip dysplasia at 6 months plus urinary incontinence (pre speying, so not caused by that. )
Borders are generally very healthy but thank goodness ours was insured.....no hip scores available when we bought as they aren't done normally for borders cos they don't normally have hip problems...:-(
Vets wanted to chop both hip joints off but we went for hydrotherapy and MSM/glucosamine tablets and that made such a difference when re x rayed (muscle now supporting the joint where bone should be) that we decided not to go ahead. Taggie is now 9 and hasn't been lame since, although it has stopped us doing the long walks we had planned with her, we stick to short ones.

Wowowowo, what a shock poor dog.......see you never know, like humans....
I just contacted my friend who is after a border terrier, she would love one but working very hard in 2 jobs and doing a house up, no time for a pup!!
-
That's a brilliant result for HD! We had a bitch years ago with a very high hip score, and we did much the same - a lot of swimming, and prepared to give metacam if needed, but she was never in any pain. Luckily no problems when spayed because we didn't want any accidental matings.

only bitch pup left now someone on way to see her
