Title: Hello we are new
Post by: Family farmers on June 05, 2013, 07:30:54 pm
Hello. My family and I ( so far me hubby 2 yrs old and spotty dog).   Currently keep and breed and hatch chickens and ducks .  Have kept pigs and horses in the past .  For the first time in our village some grass land has become availed on a 6 year lease.  It's 55 acres its very good grazing , we ave to put a sealed tender in next week .  My questions are what sort of money would u think this could be worth, it's own by a trust so I can get grants ( single payment plus poss low usage).   We really want to mainly rear animal for ourselves and few to sell to cover cost , not interested in making money , looking for the lifestyle.  We really like the look of Southdown sheep and dexter or belted Galloway cattle .  Thank u

 and welcome from Shropshire. Can't help about price but I suspect whether or not it is well fenced would make a difference.
