I only joined this forum a couple of days ago but so far I am very impressed with the whole set up and the friendly feel of the other members who have replied to me.
Tonight I feel like exploring the site a bit more and perhaps try to upload pics and try my hand at video uploading from you tube
I feel that I am a bit of a Daredevil trying these out............Not bad for a guy with a bus-pass :fc:
Eck.

Wee Eck, I think its great that you are giving it a go. There are lots on here who have a bus pass or who are near to getting one so don't be afraid. There are also lots more much younger on here too.
Mostly we are a friendly bunch and try to help whether its with a smallholding question or something more technical. :)

Wee eck...
....how come you , with a bus pass has managed to get a fingers crossed symbol, whilst I, just a young thing, doesn't know how to do it?
Welcome to the forum

I find it hard to make piccies small enough to post and although I apparently post a lot :innocent: , its all drivell and I cannot spell so avoid big words, although I do understand a lot.....I too have a bus pass, brilliant, I love going into Glasgow, my husband used to visit lots of tower blocks and may well have met you......he worked with Asylum seekers, men who had worked for our armed forces as interpreters usually, so they were offered a place of safety...............In Glasgow :innocent:

Glasgow is one of teh friend;lies cities you could find - but then I would say that - I'm half Glaswegian. :excited:
Mojo the wee pictures are at the top of every message before you post it. Just click on them and they go in your message. :roflanim: roflanim

mojocafa, my husband does not even post and can just about E Mail people and he is younger...its not an age thing at all.......
Glasgow is indeed very friendly and also has a high very high murder rate, I missed out on a knee capping when I worked in MaryHill....the man in the shop 3 doors away got it, also the tower block my husband worked with people in was the one a family jumped out of!!
The people are open and will give you the shirt of their back and make you dinner but steal a £5 off them and ya deed :innocent:

If you stay out of the way of the drug users etc you're fine. That's why I'd never go into care work. My son lives in Paisley, works in Glasgow City Centre and he loves it there.
But I digress, yes, Eck this site is great. Most of us are very helpful and friendly.

. Most of us are very helpful and friendly.
For the avoidance of doubt I am neither of these things... Harumphhhh

Alistair, you are very helpful and friendly, without you I wouldn't know where to start with grooming my mutt for a start!! and you made me laugh yesterday.
Glad you are enjoying it here Wee Eck - 99% of the members are wonderful, helpful, lovely, attractive and funny - then there's the rest...... :dunce:

Any and most big cities are where there is more likely trouble I suppose!!
I loved working there too and Steve made loads of weegie friends including some one who knew my relatives, I do have relatives still in Glasgow...I must add that I worked with the elderly and yes, like me, they are nearly all drug users :innocent:

 Hi WeeEck, You're very welcome on here! I must say all the support I've had from folk has been tremendous. I am a born and bred Weegie, now in the highlands, and dont think there is anywhere quite like Glasgow for the humour! :excited:
