Title: Can anyone diagnose

The last few days hen just sitting quite listless, floppy comb, eyes closed most of the time. Stretches her neck back and opens beak at same time . Making no noise!

dosent sound good

I have spoon fed live yogurt  and water

Or a respiratory infection? Is it a congested noise? Any discharge?

Hi there,
So sorry to hear about your hen - suggest worming but we lost a pekin cockerel recently doing similar to yours - it was suggested that he had swallowed something and it was caught in the throat.  Hope all goes well with the rest of the flock.
By the way Brandy is now an uncle!!!

What's the best treatment for gape worm. They are due to be wormed , in the past I have used marriages will that be ok.

I use fluvenvet have found it good and easy to give to them in the food.  You can buy feed with fluvenvet already in it but I think its more expensive.

May depend on the number of birds you have but we found it reasonable to worm our birds ..... around 40 or so. The pre-med bags are not that much more expensive than normal feed if you can find somewhere fairly local that stocks and you don't have to pay a delivery charge.
