About to get some roundup gel as have heard good reports from gardening friends who have used it. You dab it on weeds here spraying may not be an option as they are next to a plant you don't really want to get effected. Anyway I think I can get hold of it for £6.50 inc postage which is certainly cheaper than what I paid to get some from B&Q.
If anyone interested just send me a message.

Yes - useful for places were a dock or something is next to a plant you don't want to harm. Only problem is - you have to bend down to apply it :-(

You can also rub glyphosate spray onto the weeds using a pair with thick river gloves. Saves having to buy different stuff

Rubber gloves not river gloves

Yes - that rings a bell.
I think I have a paint brush specially for the purpose which worked well last year . The gel is quite expensive because of the packaging and formulation.

Similar to Garvie, we just apply the normal stuff on bindweed using cotton buds.
