I am catching a plane to England today (from central France) in search of the sun and to recover from trench foot. We are just a bit fed up of carrying logs in for the last 6 months, drains that don't drain becuase the water table is so high and generally being cold or wearing 3 layers of clothes. We have had just maybe 5 days of T-shirt weather in the last 6 months and most of these were in Feb. Unable to plant out toms, peppers, courgettes etc etc and the cold frame is looking like the Amazon rain forrest..
I reckon that we are 4-6 weeks behind in the garden and the grass is so high but wet when it should have been cut and drying in the sun for the first hay crop.
Fingers crossed for some sun in Cambridge !

Have a great time, Mak - hope the weather is better here for you.
We are off to Spain tomorrow - hoping for a bit of sunshine, sand and sangria!

MAK, I hope you find the sun but reading your post has made me feel a bit better anyway. It goes to show its not just here (Wales) that has been having bad weather.
Just been out to feed the animals though and its a lovely morning with bright sun. Lets hope it continues

Sun is up here at the moment - back to cloudy tomorrow and rain on Monday...
Hope you find what you are looking for! We are weeks behind with everything, too.

The sun has been in Shropshire all day. Hope it lasts. My spinning group is giving a spinning demonstration on Monday and I don't want to freeze.

Plenty of sun in Carmarthenshire & Pembrokeshire yesterday and today a bit patchy but still plenty to be had ..
I've got sun burnt for the fourth time this year . :D

Felt like summer yesterday - but only just above freezing this morning. Hope my runner beans will survive... I got tempted into planting them out yesterday. :-\

And again in Shropshire. :sunshine: :sunshine: :sunshine: :sunshine: :sunshine:

Today I had to resort to a long sleeve tee shirt and big floppy hat ( for two days running ) to stop me getting sunburnt
We want some rain for a couple of days ....everything is starting to dry out. Yes this is in South Wales :roflanim: :roflanim:
I've had to put five inches of water in the pond to dilute any toxins as it has lost that much water this last ten days or so .. Normally the rain keeps it filled and over flowing.
