Hi, Been a while hope your all well.
I wondered if anyone can tell me the breed of the chicken in the photo please? These have been saved from the chop in a commercial barn environment.

Quite small but we have Orps so anything else is going to seem small lol. Brown couple have white feathers as a stripe and all fairly speckled. One thing I noticed was the tail was fairly long and quite upright.

I have a few different hybrids eg Lohman Browns, Isa Warrens, and Hylines and they all look very like these

I was told by a local farmer (with big free range units) that all the commercial layers that look like the above are based on a "Warren type" bird. They produce different strains at times and give different names eg. hylines, lohman browns but all basically very similar.
I have hybrids that look much the same as yours. Some were described as warrens, others as hylines.
Before reading your text, I did look twice at the tail. ;D Does seem longer and more upright than most of mine over the years.
