Hi all
I have two lovely Pygmy goats, twin boys - both castrated. They are very cute tricoloured goatlings and I bought them last October at a sale.
Unfortuntely I'm going to have to admit defeat and findthem a home, we live next to a busy main road and I'm terrified that one of them will escape and be killed on the road. they are very athletic and either jump out or get their heads stuck in the fence which is very distressing - I work full time and dont want to come home to find one dead in the fence line :(
if you know anyone who would like them, please let me know. they are friendly (will take food from your hand once they know you) but won't get under your feet.
please email [email protected] if you know anyone.
Many thanks in advance
sad and worried goat owner.

I should add that I live near Biggar, South Lanarkshire.

I can give them a home with my goats, unless someone else is very keen for them :goat:
Have emailed you.

Just wanted to add that they have found the most perfect Goat paradise home.
Thanks J, I hope they are no trouble and fit in well with your current herd.

They are being very good boys, though understandably a bit nervous for now.
They have both decided they like sultanas (as well as bread!) and they both got strokes yesterday, though it was a bit 'eyes screwed up and teeth gritted' :D Still, they both survived and hopefully they'll see that nothing terrible happens ;)
Ellie's kids like them very much and spend a lot of time standing on the hayrack lid, talking to them through the gate.
We put a window in the paddock house yesterday and today I will make them a sleeping platform for out there - at the moment they've borrowed Rowan's.
So I think they'll be fine :)
-
You gone all soft Jaykay? ;D ;D ;D
-
Looks like it ;)
They'll be the only animals on the place that don't 'do' anything - but they're pretty small, they did need a home, and they'll fit into what's here without much adjustment or bother.
We've just had another 'sultana eating and stroking' time - they're getting braver :)
-
Well done, Jaykay.

:)
Think I did quite well out of it, they're very sweet :goat:

The little guy looking straight forward, and jumping! is Eric, and the one looking to the right is Frank.

What lovely boys

Oh what a superb little double act! Like the names too. Brilliant markings, some of the nicest I've seen, really. :excited: Pity they aren't intact you could have made a bob or two.
And they fly, what more could you want? ;D

I need a sticking-my-tongue-out-at-you icon :D
We are winning, baby steps but they've only just made four days, so I think they're doing very well. They don't instantly leap onto the ledges when I appear now, they can cope with a bit of a stroke and they tentatively come towards me now if I sit very still.
Mum and Dad came round and admired them today and they ate sultanas from mum's hand, so she thinks they've very good boys indeed :)

ha ha, reminds me of when i first got my goats, they used to climb the walls and cry. now they are fine.

Little Eric, who is by far the most nervous of the two boys, has just stood for voluntary stroking ;D For ages ;D And came up and sniffed my face and hair ;D He has made so much progress, I am so impressed by him, brave little man
And little Frank, who has been cuddling for a couple of weeks now, so now he does 'me, me, stop making so much fuss of Eric' :D

They sound absolutely wonderful JK - even as my older goats get older and kids grow up they have such individual characters it's impossible not to love hem all for one reason or another, even the naughty ones!!
-
Well you know what, they might not be 'serious' little goaties in the goat world but they are just great and you sound like you are having lots of lovely moments Jaykay, lucky you and very lucky them
