Hi
This is the link to the Cattle for Sale page on the website:
http://shetlandcattle.org.uk/cattle-market (http://shetlandcattle.org.uk/cattle-market)
Shetlands are wonderful wee beasties - we've just finished calving for this year and have 9 'dots' running around after their 'Mamas'.
Our Shetlands are mostly black and white, we've got 3 offspring from 2012 that are mostly grey or grey and white. This years calves are a mixture, one of the bull calves is probably going to be grey, and the final arrival is a red and white bull.
The reason for saying probably is they change colour. The ones that end up with black markings are often brown when small and don't develop the full black colour till they're nearly a year old. The ones that have ended up with grey markings have appeared black when born and for the first few months. The only calf we're certain about this year is the red one...
Good luck with finding some cattle.
Regards
Sue

You might find this helpful - Jules is based just over the 2nd severn bridge....
For Sale - Two Calves and One Cow
We have two red and white heifer calves, Mumbleys Rosa and Mumbleys Bianca, who were born in April 2013. They will be available in the Autumn, when they have weaned, but Mumbleys Bianca can go sooner with her mother, Meadow Susan, who is also for sale. Bianca was Susan's first calf and she is a friendly cow with an opinion on everything! Unfortunately, we have decided we don't have enough land to carry so many animals so we have decided to sell her.
Calves: £500, Cow: £850
Please contact Jules Moore for more information on 01454 415296 or email [email protected]
There's a photo on Jules website if you want to take a look http://www.mumbleysfarmhouse.co.uk/ (http://www.mumbleysfarmhouse.co.uk/)
Jules runs a smallholding located near to where I live and holds smallholding courses of every conceivable nature - the cow/calves come from a very good home.
