I'm Simon and my other half (soon to be wife) is Francesca. I've a couple of questions if that's OK. I don't do much on forums so please forgive me if go on a bit!
We rented a small area of land earlier this year and took on 5 pigs which are just about ready to go to slaughter. We also have a few hens which we have for eggs.
The plan is to get more pigs and increase our hen count to allow us to take some for the table.
Anyway, to get to the point ;) , we may have the opportunity of renting a farm type property that comes with a field. The field is (I think) about 4 to 5 acres. Does anybody know of any funding that may available to help us set this up? Wether is be EU or UK...
Many thanks indeed! And there's going to be rather a rash of questions coming up due to our pigs coming of age and given that we are looking to get (a lot) more hens!
thanks again,
Simon

hello and welcome from the overcast patch of central scotland i call home
can't help on funding questions but someone might, you don't say where you are and sometimes that makes a difference.
The only silly question is the question you don't ask...

Hi Simon  & welcome from Carmarthenshire (just relocated back from Scotland :cold: )
Not sure where abouts you are in the UK, but if you can get to the Welsh smallholder show in Builth this weekend there will be various stalls giving out info on what grants are currently available ...
and ...
It'll give you an opportunity to met-up with some of the lovely TASers too :eyelashes:
