Title: Spare sheep
Post by: Backinwellies on May 10, 2013, 11:12:29 am
I have 2 sheep which I was given when we bought this smallholding. A mother and adult daughter ... commercial crossbreds... both quite fat  and the daughter is not tame but will come to a bucket.   They have not integrated with the small flock of LLanwenogs I have purchased and are now becoming a problem as the Llanwenogs are quite docile and easy for me to work by myself but adding the other two into the mix and I can only round them all up with help.  Suggestions as to what to do with these 2 please?    ....

Sell them on as either breeding ewes if appropriate (age/udder soundness etc), or as cull/grazing ewes.

Sell as cast ewes especially if they are quite big.
