Evenin all. Anyone on here keep Wiltshire horns, and if so, do you treat them with crovect or an equivalent, to treat/prevent horn fly and lice, and when is the best time/ Thanks

You would only really need to do them if they get a bit dirty round their back end, I do all of mine as a rule, its probably being a bit over the top, but I'd rather do them that treat them!

alls you need to do is dab a bit of clik at each horn base...perhaps a couple mls each - thats all I do, and I do it if/when the weather turns muggy.

Thanks folks

Hi Novice
I'm in my third year with Wiltshire Horns and I only treat them once a year when it's muggy too - usually around July. Like Steve said - I just dab some at the base of their horns and maybe on the butt if they're a bit dirty there. I never have fly strike problems at all.
