Found this poem on Facebook and thought how great it was. It really made me smile so thought I'd share ...
Dust if you must,
but it might be better,
to paint a picture or write a letter,
to bake a cake or plant a seed,
to ponder the gap between want and need,
Dust if you must,
but theres not much time,
with rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
music to hear and books to read,
friends to cherish and life to lead,
Dust if you must,
but the worlds out there,
with sun in your eyes and wind in your hair,
a fluter of snow a show of rain,
this day will NOT come around again,
Dust if you must,
but bare in mind,
old age will come and it mightn't be kind,
and when you go, and go you must,
YOU, yourself will make more dust!

 , very true, I am saving the dust until Friday as it will be back if I do it now ;) , I made the cakes now time to sort out the rubbish...such a nice day, my mum did like to keep the house clean and tidy but always said, "the dust will still be there tomorrow but the opportunities may not be" loved my mummy

My mum could do with reading that poem. When I was growing up, she used to dust up the stairs (either side of the carpet every single day. If she was interrupted, say by someone ringing the doorbell, she would be cross because she couldn't remember where she got to. My dad told her if she couldn't see the difference, it didn't need doing but did it stop her?
When I had my first house, she used to visit and, as she walked it, she would run her finger along the mantelpiece to check for dust. We took out the fireplace to stop her.
