Title: chiddy bids

Well thats the chicken run finished... and it got me thinking..seeing as i have been feeling sorry for myself.. with this darn toothache.. i thought! why not get a couple of rescue chooks, the ex battery hens  :chook:

so i filled out the form last night..and i guess i just need to wait now....

 :thumbsup: , its lovely seeing ex battery hens have some fun, hope the tooth ache subsides, not much worse than tooth ache. I re homed my battery hens and now only have my original 4 Black Rocks due to wanting to sell up and not needing the extra eggs, but if we get some where suitable, I would love to have a few more, they are very entertaining....I miss my fat sandy!  :(

I always said that I would re-home some ex-batts, or actually its ex-barn hens around here. The idea was to build a second run for them but unfortunately with Allens ill health it hasn't been possible this year.

If I were able to have chooks here, I would go for ex battery. I think it's alovely thing to do.

You won't be disappointed. I think ex-batts are the most rewarding chooks you can have. It's just beautiful to see their natural instincts kick in and them turn into handsome girlies from raggedy pathetic little things.

well the chicken run is finished and the duck run is almost done.... time for some girls now
