Title: Anyone needing celery plants?
Post by: gardenjeannie on April 28, 2013, 12:09:30 am
I've never had much luck with my celery before, so filled 2 trays with the whole pack this yr.  Didn't the whole blinking lot decide to germinate!!  So have pricked out one tray, all growing on nicely, but still have a whole tray to do and no room for them!  No-one else I know likes it, so no use me growing more than I need, and that would only be dozen at most. (I chop and freeze for soups n stews)

So, if anyone would like some, am willing to pack and post out to however many people might like some.  I can't seem to bring myself to cull the little blighters!

Never really thought about growing celery. How do you grow them? Can they just go in the garden? I'm guessing lots of water?
