Hi all,
I am looking for 3 Oxford Sandy and Black Weaners, preferably gilts, so that I can take them to bacon without any issues, in Essex or northern areas of Kent.
I am just starting out in pig keeping and have got all my fencing, housing, feeding and water sorted. I am basically ready for the one missing element the pigs!!!
I am finding it really hard to find a breeder near me, the OSB club only lists breeders from the westcountry and wales.
I dont want to travel too far as then I would need to take some kind of exam for pig movements over a longer distance and this terrifies me!!! :o
Any help would be great

Hi Again,
Just wondered if anyone was in Essex, Kent or Suffolk who might know any breeders of rare breed pigs.
Getting desperate now lol!

I will pm his phone number if you want

How about Gloucestershire Old Spots? Or I have some Gloucestershire Old Spots crossed with Middle Whites - they finish really fast, to pork by the time they are five months old so saving a lot on the feed bill.
Ready to go this weekend near Stansted Airport, Essex. 07768 368053

So sorry, been up to my eyes in it and forgot to check for replies. :-[
I ended up giving up on my OSB dream and managed to find some really cute saddlebacks only 20 miles from me and it was then all systems go, they are now settled in their new home and are great.
Thank you both for your replies and sorry again for the late reply
