Hi
We're really struggling to find an OSB boar in the midland/east of England area (have been through the OSB members list local to us and a committee member mentioned someone in Dorset, not really close enough) and I wondered if there any out there at all? I noticed an earlier post specifically looking for a Clarence line boar but whilst it had quite a few 'reads' there were no replies.
Anyone?
Cheers
Steph

The problem is a lot of people don't like to lend out their animals or take unknown stock onto their premises, this is one of the reasons we bought our own GOS boar even though we only have two sows, i did lend him out and he came back with a broken leg and had to be PTS :'( so would probably think twice about lending again!
You may have to be prepared to put a bit of mileage in on this one or find somebody who will do sow B&B.

I was going to have a go at AI and it didn't seem too complicated or expensive. Fortunately I'm going to be able to borrow a boar. This is a link to the AI company.

Try Colin Jones, Bakewell, Derbyshire. He has a lovely OSB Clarence bloodline boar called Sherlock - certainly did a good job on our gilt! :)
