Peonies
-
peonie is my best guess
-
Ah yes I seem to remember one there last year. May dug it up and move to a better place quickly.
-
Peonies do not like being moved! Just to warn you - I have killed mine by trying!
-
.....and my aunt killed several of mine by kindly moving them for me......

Heuchera?

Yep, peonie. Too late to move now. Probably best to try while dormant. Might benefit from a bit of space around it too - your flowerbeds look like mine! (if that is a flowerbed).
-
Ha - not a flowerbed - totally weed covered area that needs some serious work - hence my surprise when this came up
-
 Peonies, we have 2 separate plants at that stage now and one is in a very awkward spot so gets knocked over but such a pretty flower so we leave it!!!! Ours are pale pretty pink!! be interesting to see the colour yours turns out!!
-
If and when you do move it, dont be surprised if it doesnt flower next year... they tend to sulk when moved and dont like their roots to deep!

Yup, Peonie. A lovely pretty plant.
