Title: What colours do suffolk lambs come in? Got pics!
Post by: Hillview Farm on April 09, 2013, 02:27:54 pm: My ewes went away to the ram. The farmer put them in with his suffolk rams but hes has varrious breeds (18 rams altogether)

The mother is a suffolk mule, the lamb is white mostly with speckled gray legs and face with brown ears
Is it just the mule coming through? Or did another ram hope the fence and get her?

Suffolks usually born black, adults have black legs and head.

Post by: ScotsGirl on April 09, 2013, 06:51:20 pm: Mine are from Suffolk ram and start off either black or mottled like a cow. I was a bit concerned the first year but the blobs and all black disappear and leave just black head and legs eventually.
