could you share how much you sell your pork for please :eyelashes:
sausages per lb or kg
bacon per lb or kg
joints per lb or kg

There has been lots of ferocious discussion about this subject on other topics so have a search, it really depends on your area and where and to whom you are selling, have a trawl round your local butchers this will give you a clue, also check out internet sellers. In affluent areas you can get more per kg for everything for less well to do areas you're just about up against tescasburys! ::) If you start high you can always come down whereas if you start cheap its a bugger gettin' prices up!

I only sell by 1/4 pig at £90 or 1/2 for £180 this includes sausages and bacon. That way it goes to the customer straight from the butcher so I have no storage issues with EHO.

As stated elsewhere I do a £25 pack but it works out at about a flat price of £4.50 a kilo.

I think the most important thing is NOT to undervalue your product and the time and care you put in to producing it.I feel especially now with the recent food scares many more people want to know where their food comes from and how it is reared.
Slightly off the pork topic but I have bought a local Aberdeen Angus had it butchered and shared amongst 4 of us for £378 each, making it a fantastic deal.

The only way to arrive at a selling price is by first working out what the pig has cost to produce. Absolutely no use just going with whatever anyone else charges if you're trying to make a business out of it. Feed costs are only part of it too, there are a lot of things that have to be taken into account. Every producer's costs will be different and every producer's market is different.

I'd go with hugheseys post..........the numbers have to add up otherwise what's the point ;)
I did read somewhere a while back where a guy had prepared sausages and delivered them in small free sampler packs with all contact details to aid start-up of selling his own produce :sunshine:
