Title: Pygmy goat - with a cloudy eye
Post by: Cazuk on April 01, 2013, 07:07:53 pm
Hi
Our Pygmy goat has a sore eye, which has become cloudy today.  It coincided with our delivery of straw and she was dive bombing into it hence we thought it might just be debris from that.  Going to check with vet tomorrow, but thought you may have a solution :)
Thanks  :)

When we had a similar problem we got an antibiotic ointment called Orbenin from our vet - put it in for a few days and the result was excellent.

It could be a seed or bit of straw that it caught in the eye. I would get the vet to check it out, and yes she eye cream like Orbenin would probably help too.

One of mine had one a couple of years ago, decided it was hay seed, I bathed it with a herbal solution, can't remember what, it was on advice from a friend, but it must have helped wash it out.
Have you tried looking round the eye to see if you can see anything?
