One of our two has laid  17 and stopped. The other hasn't laid anything yet. Last year they both laid eggs until mid may so fingers crossed.

My West of England goose is last year's hatch but has laid 17 eggs so far. Having said that, three of those have been double yolkers (enormous, great for eating, not great for hatching which is the intention) and the first seven I put in the incubator were all infertile. The second batch has just gone in today so I'm crossing my fingers and holding my thumbs that the gander (also young) has got his act together (had the same problem with the first batch of duck eggs but they're going OK now). The breeder I got them from have only just had their first eggs though so maybe it depends where abouts in the country you are and what the weather has been like?

are you sure they havent got a secret nest somewhere - we found one the other day with 6 eggs in, explaining the sporadic laying in their house

Ours are not laying but the whole place is still covered in deep snow so think they are waiting for better weather

We're in Yorkshire and our geese have been a bit late this year but have been laying for about a month now. However the Turkeys haven't started yet!!
I've got 2 incubators on and another 5 eggs in the utility room at the moment.
Once they start they seem to lay quite well until around May.
