Title: Sow and piglets Free (ish) in Kent
Post by: thenovice on March 30, 2013, 11:28:44 am
As you may know, my saddleback sow had an unexpected litter, so im not set up for keeping the whole family. They are doing really well, but need to be outside in a large pen. So if anyone wanted, they could have mum and piglet for free, in exchange for 3 of the weaners when they reach 8 weeks. There are 6 piglets in total, and are a mixture of large black, saddleback and old spots. Littluns 3 weeks old now

Where abouts in Kent are you? Was talking to friends today who were expecting to get a few weaners for growing on but the mum has just rolled on all but two of the litter so they're looking. I'll mention it to them...not sure they'd want the sow too though,

Cranbrook area. Sow is lovely and docile, and you get to have 3 of the weaners too

Thanks! You're quite close (we're the Folkestone side of Ashford). I've passed this on to my friend who needs to discuss with the neighbours they partner up with for pigs. Fingers crossed it works out for both of you - just not sure whether they want a breeding sow!
