today I was offered spent brewers grains to feed my pigs. I am expecting 3 GOS (10 weeks) in 3 weeks time.
In the past I have fed weaners veg/fruit with some pig nuts as they free range. I collect autumn nuts and chestnuts for them to eat with fruit and veg and a "pig" flour compliment in an attempt to keep off the pig nuts.
Can anyone who uses brewer's grains suggest a good feeding regieme that includes the grain ?

Haven't used them myself but this subject has come up a few times so if you put it in the search you should get plenty of info.

Use them good free food, I use them for cattle sheep and pigs,

We get them but have restricted it to one 30 - 35kg bag a week as we only have 2 big adult pigs at the moment. We feed them 4-5 lbs of pig nuts each a day, so when we have the brwers grains, we take out a 1lb of nuts and give them a scoop (~1 lb) of brewers grains instead. Our last GOS did very well on this feeding regimes and were not at all fat, but we were very strict with their diet!
Most of the bag actually goes to our sheep who love the stuff and can't get enough of it. The pigs will eat it only after everything else is gone!

Many thanks - I pick up the first batch in about 3 weeks time as the brewer is waiting for some more orders for his beer to come in to his rural brewery ( house!). He has estabished outlets in local towns but winter trade was down. So I should start to get a regular supply over the next 6-9 months.
