Bastard planning appeal. The powers that be have decided that the community I live in, that has been here for 20 YEARS is .............................. unsustainable ::) ::) ::)
SO I daresay I shall, along with the others here be getting an eviction notice soon.
Ho hum, best pop another application in eh?
Honestly you would think we were asking for a toxic waste dump, not for a traveller site to finally be accepted.
-
So sorry for your situation. I realise how traditional your place sounds. My dad worked away from home for many years on and off and often stayed with traditional travellers and had a lot of respect for their lifestyle ( I was told many a lovely story ).
Unfortunately the way some sites live have no respect for others or property. Dad has had big issues with such people lately. It does give such a bad name to others like yourself.
I really feel for you

Everyone save for 2 people here really get on with us which is the mad thing.
Because if people don't mind something they tend to say nothing. SO the 2 that hate us (read, want the land) actually have the bigger voice :gloomy:
Never mind. I still ain't leaving ;D ;D ;D
-
 so sad for you all, what do the mean sustainable? I suppose it means some one else can make a bit of money from where you are......well all I can say is power up and keep safe :fc:
-
It may be a case of fresh eggs and sign this petition :fc:
Really feel for you  :-*

So sorry this has happened. If the site has been used for 20 years, then why have the residents not been asked to move before now? Have you been offered alternative accommodation? Where exactly do they expect you to go? It must be so worrying for you. Do hope something can be sorted.

Nah no alternative has been offered and they have already stated they have no duty to find us anywhere :-\
-
hmpf. buggers.
-
Not to worry, if they do chuck me off I'll turn up at their offices with the livestock et all. They used to keep goats at the neighboring park so they must have a cph number.... ;D ;D ;D

Don't let the b4$t4rd$ grind y'down. (I know you won't.) :-*

If you ever watch The Planners on TV you see how easily people make decisions that turn people's lives upside down.
If your community supports you, your local MP should be fighting harder. They want everyone's votes.
Go to citizens advice, go to the press ( not the daily mail...) get schools involved where the children attend.
I'm telling you stuff you know, no doubt.
I didn't realise that part of the planning committee is made up of local volunteers from the community. Perhaps you could join......
I wonder what else they'll do with the land? Will it be sustainable for other houses I wonder ........?????
Best of luck

I assume you already have Chapter7 in your corner?
-
As I don't know of Chapter7 I guess not, off to research now
Thanks!
As an aside, the woman who runs the nursery next door (over the fields) has just let her fecking disobedient spaniel stray AGAIN. We now have 5 chickens :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Just after Christmas we had 25.
Then come home to the enforcment officers form to fill in AGAIN wanting to know the ins and outs of our private/financial/work lives. Having already said they don't have any duty to house us, why the hell do they want all our personal info? They have already had it anyway >:( >:( >:(
My life officially sucks right now :gloomy:
But I plan on being the most awkward bastard they have ever dealt with 8)

Chapter 7 - Planning Advice (http://www.tlio.org.uk/chapter7/planningadvice)
Very very very experienced in cases like yours, will give advice free of charge. Gotta be worth a call.
Simon Fairlie has had at least one audience with Prince Charles, and has spoken on Radio 4 more than once - they are very well respected. They are currently lobbying for better guidelines on what constitutes sustainable development ;)
-
Sally you are an angel, thank you
-
Colliewoman I can't believe you don't know about Chapter 7 when they're so close! Even i know of them and i'm not native to these parts :tired:
Hope you took murdered chickens and her dog back to mrs nursey-killerspaniel-owner when she had a tunnel full of customers.
-
CHILDRENS nursery :o , Thank gods that although it is a stock killer I assume it is good with children.
That is the only reason i haven't gone round as I would hate to be flailing chicken corpses whilst being watched by toddlers :'(
Just realised it got Colin my pet pekin rooster too. I found feathers but no corpse and no Colin. I hope he's not injured in the hedge somewhere :'( :'(
-
not colin. :raining:
-
Yep, no more will he sit on the step of my truck waiting for grated cheese :chook:
-
:( :( :(

toddlers won't be bothered by the sight of dead chickens ...they would probably be very interested... but their mothers might, ..take the bodies and ask her to bury them as you are too upset to do so, and make sure that it is picking kiddies up time when you do it
