A hunky young man with a JCB and 15 ton of stone, yee ha !!! I have paths :yippee: :yippee: no more ankle deep mud, just getting from the house to the yard has been a nightmare. Tried pallet duckboards but after slipping off one and landing face first in the mud they had to go. ::) OH is home at the moment and arranged it so he can't even complain about the cost ( that'll be a first).

nice to hear good news for a change in the world
i have been on a few sites where we have laid rough paths with a digger its so simple and makes such a difference!!!
-
Sounds like you are on the path to mud free boots :D

Would you like to send that hunky young man over to me when you've finished with him please.......pretty please.......very pretty please!!! (He can bring his JCB with him if he wants!)
-
Hunky men AND paths - lucky thing ;)

How much did it cost and how far does 15 ton of stone go?
Any particular type of stone ie:what do I ask for?
Probably need at least twice that and haven't got any money just now but when...

That's great thank you. The whole track and yard need doing but will probably need a layer of mud scraped off first else it will all disappear straight away. Something else to save up for.
Hunky man with JCB lives next door. ;)

Path envy, hunky man envy, jcb envy, no mud envy! You lucky lucky girl you. Perhaps I should be thinking of changing my name ;)
-
Bloomer my type 1 was £12 a ton delivered + vat , would have been less if I had taken a bigger load. Oh and Dogwalker my hunky man with JCB lives about 100 yds away, does mean that I don't have to pay for his travelling time and the quarry is about 10 miles away.

Work in progress, hopefully with pics. :excited:
-
very nice, quite jealous ::)
-
looks for the report to moderator button as this thread is sexiest, how am I supposed to live up to a man who has a JCB :roflanim:
-
I agree Hassle - made me feel that I should have a bright red sports car ( again -mmm) and get into a gym. The nearest sexist "male" thing I can come up with is to describe the way the OH's hairdresser cuts her hair over our kitchen sink. :excited:
Off to dig out a bank next to the lake for sand and gravel tomorrow.
-
Mmmmm. I always did like a man with a beard.
-
I agree MGM ..........tickles in all the right places :eyelashes:

I'll let you know if I agree when I hire him :innocent:

I was supposed to be getting 16 tonne of type 2 on monday but I phoned to let the driver know that our lane was evil with snow and he said the road leading up to their depot was like going up the Cresta Run! Bah! Bloody weather. Luckily the mud is mostly frozen so hopefully when the snows gone, the stone can come and mud will be a thing of the past. I won't be getting a hunky JCB driver though, it'll me, the hubby and whichever kids we can wangle into helping move it all. I'm going to have biceps like a Russian shotputter afterwards!
-
Just noticed the pics of the paths have been viewed 10 times, but the pic of hunky driver has been viewed 17 times :innocent: :innocent:
-
only 17!!
