I looked out the window today to see to my horror that Pom's nose was covered in blood. Then I realised her beard was also red. I was in a panic untl I remembered that the bucket of vegetables that they had for breakfast, courtesy of our local shopkeeper, contained several very ripe strawberries.

:roflanim: been there and panicked as we charged down the field !

Did something similar last year when Puffin was due to kid. She had a red mouth so I decided in my irrational brain, that she'd kidded out of the barn, chewed the cord (hence red mouth) and the kid was somewhere in distress. Then I realised it was the red rockie lick. ::)

:roflanim: Glad I'm not alone.

Ohhh yes the number of calls I used to get when we ran the guinea pig rescue asking for help as their guineapig was peeing blood ::)

Even more worrying when it's your 18month human child after raiding the beetroot in the fridge ::)
