This question has probably been asked before, what is the best way to feed fodder beet to pigs?
We have been offered fodder beet and would love to take up the offer as it would supplement our ever increasing feed bill, so advice is required.
Many thanks to one and all in advance.

We use a root chopper which shreds them and then we add to the normal feed trugs.
Our root choper came with the farm, its like a big iron food processor for animals!

Ours just have it whole to chew on,when they first had it we chopped it in half, but they know what it is now and chomp away ;)

Lots of people just throw it in whole. Gives the pigs a bit of a challenge. Others that I know chop it in half or quarters using a spade.

I chop mine up with a spade in a bucket but not sure it's worth it as I've chucked a few in whole and they still vanish!
