I have just got my first inncy, not used it yet. It is a brinsea mini eco (fan assisted) and it came with a little bottle of disinfectant solution. The instructions suggest adding a small amount to the water in the resevoirs which I plan to do. I'm assuming that as the water evapourates the disinfecting solution will be vapourised too.
I know it is important to clean the incubator well between each hatch, I was wondering if the most effective way to disinfect the whole thing would be to run it with the disinfectant solution in the resevoirs so that it evapourates to cover all the internal surfaces of the machine?

Hi,I just use hot water in a bucket a squeeze of fairy and a splash of bleach on a sponge,or you could use a non scented antibacterial spray on surface cleaner and wipe it off with a paper towel,I know a lot of people do this.
I don't know about the solution evaporating in the channel, what I do know is these channels get very scungy and lime scaled maybe this prevents that.

We wipe all the incubator surfaces thoroughly with egg sanitant solution and let the heat of the incubator dry it off with the steam circulating right through the mechanism. We don't put sanitizer solution in the water pots, but I can't see it doing any harm Clarebelle.
