Title: Grrrrrrr!!!!!!!!
Post by: Jackie 2 on March 19, 2013, 06:36:08 am
I bought some weiners and apparently my smallholding wasn't registered and wasnt recognized by the relevant authorities for the movement licence?
Really? I have a CPH and a herd mark?

I was given a letter that stated if I didn't register or let them know within 30 days then its a 5k fine!!!!

It took me 7, yes 7, phone calls to point out THEIR mistake!! Last phone call said "Oh dont worry about it we have your CPH number."   ARRRRGGGGGGG!!!  >:(

Cant they get anything right??????  >:(

It's annoying. We have a holding number for 2 pigs a year but I keep getting letters that I have to translate into English and learn that they are telling me about keeping cattle/veal. At least now you have had them confirm their error and you can be woory free that they have you registered and will not get a fine.

who would have thought 1 letter would cause so much trouble. at least now if its recorded it wont happen again.  :fc:

We had the same problem on more than one occasion the local authority insisted there was an extra number in our post code and it took 6 months to get straightened out finally. And we move about 20 pigs on and off the holding in that time.

Just makes you want to know what all our taxes are paying for with what amounts to incompetence.

I can't even begin to tell you the palava I had.  At one point I had one government agency disputing with the other. In the end I just took the advice of AHVL who insisted they were correct and stuck with that.  I suspect they are not as I keep getting one of those 'info is not correct' thrown up by the eamls system which I have been told not to bother about, for some reason.   I also had my Trading Standards people wanting to wade in although when I explained the RPA  had inspected a few months ago they backed off.

I used to get 'info is not correct' but after a few discussions and some motivation with eAML it turned out they had registered me twice.
