Title: Grass seed for sheep
Post by: Jackie 2 on March 17, 2013, 05:55:19 pm
My land has been very waterlogged recently and so have very patchy grass so could anyone recommend where I could buy a lot of seed without it costing me an arm and a leg.

What sort of grass should I be looking for?

Im also grassing the old pig areas.

Thanks

Have a look at the Barenbrug UK www.barenbrug.co.uk (http://www.barenbrug.co.uk) for various seed mixes with explanations.

We have several varieties of grass seed in acre packs - from permanent pasture to short term leys.

Cotswold Grass Seed do a wonderful seed catalogue - this year is their 40th edition - full of useful information.  They are a good Co. to deal with (and I'm not on their team :o )

We got our paddock grass from Boston Seeds... They seemed to be fairly good prices.
