Hi.
I've come across mineral licks on the Internet that say they are suitable for pigs.
I would imagine my kunekunes would eat the bucket as well.
I just wondered if anyone else used them?

I've never heard of anyone using licks for pigs. Assuming they are fed manufactured pig feed they get everything they need from that.
-
There are some licks that are suitable for all livestock - including pigs - but the usual way is to supplement the feed with minerals and vitamins.

 I always thought they got everything they needed from their food and the ground - and mine would eat the bucket too :innocent:

Thanks for your replies. I wasn't thinking of using a lick instead of pig food, it was more of an extra treat. Like I do with the sheep.
I just couldn't imagine them doing the 'little and often' feeding like sheep do (and what mineral
licks are designed to do) I would have thought they'd gorge on the whole lot and as was interested if other people had tried them

P.s it's the crystalyx block I was looking at - says for ruminants and pigs

JMB I'm not an expert, but like you would think that they would just gorge until done :yum:

And then have a good scour.
