My daughters nursery asked me about this today. I've found www.livingeggs.co.uk (http://www.livingeggs.co.uk) but wondered if any of you knew of any other way that may be a bit less commercial and therefore less £££. I have no experience of hatching other than with a broody. Nursery is in Lanark. I could supply eggs and take the chicks.

Do it yourself! We've found that local schools pay between £200-300 for this - we can buy a new incubator, brooder and bits for the same amount, so first booking pays for the kit and after that you are quids in!

I've done this several times for my step-daughter who's a reception class teacher and also for a friend's wife, who teaches juniors.
If you can find someone nearby who can lend you stuff, they'll also give you hints for a successful hatch too.
