Title: Chickens wanted - Crawley, West Sussex
Post by: rusticranger on February 25, 2013, 05:11:33 pm
Unfortunately, someone's dog came into our garden and killed one of our hens last week. No apology, no note, no nothing! Very annoyed with whoever it was!  >:(

We are now in the market for two more chickens, warrens or laying hybrids will do. We just like the eggs and the constant gardening of the hens in our woodland. Can anyone help, or recommend a place to get them from in West Sussex?

Thanks,

Tom

I can't recommend anybody higher than Withy Cottage garden poultry, which is at Beare Green, which I think should be quite near to you.  Really excellent advice and good, well looked after birds of all sorts.  Phone him first though for an appointment - it's a home run business.

you could try Hurst Farm ( Family Cook) near Crawley Down, on the right going towards Turners Hill from the Dukes Head roundabout, we get all ours from them Warrens are about £8.50.
