Title: Sheep and wheat
Post by: in the hills on February 22, 2013, 06:10:12 pm
My father has been given some sacks of wheat by his local gamekeeper.

Can I mix some in with the coarse mix that I am feeding my in-lamb ewes and last years lambs?
Or is it a no-no?

Sheep can eat wheat its sometimes part of concentrates but not popular as very expensive, some farmers feed wheat and molasses ,but not many. so long as you only put in a small amount should be fine, dont be supprised if it comes out in the faeces .

Thanks Shep. I'll just add a little bit then. Had a poke about in their coarse mix and thought I could see a bit in there.
