Our first one was really useful. I was nervous but the lady was informative and very pleased with what she saw and it does give you that boost that you are doing Ok doesn't it?

Our Animal Health people do visits (from TS) and we've had letters come out but I think they do random unannounced too.

Mine too - the morning after we'd all been up with Norovirus most of the night - he shouted questions at me from the corner of the house and went off around the farm on his own.

I've only had one visit and that was arranged by letter.  He was very helpful and said he was putting me down as a 'good farm'.  I looked at my back garden and stifled a smile.
