I have some fertile eggs from our pure bred large fowl Rhode Island Reds available now. Fertility has been tested and it's excellent (100% for the last eggs tested). These birds have proved to be our best layers and are superbly hardy and healthy. We are currently running 14 hens with 2 cockerels.
Price £12 per dozen plus £6.50 postage. Or can be collected if you're local to Anglesey, North Wales. PM if you're interested.

I'll be in touch when we get another broody this year :D

Hi how do you post them so they dont break and would they survive a postal delivery to somerset.
-
They are packed in purpose made polystyrene egg boxes. I've sent hundreds of eggs all over the country through the post and never had any problems. Last year most of our postal buyers had excellent hatching results even after the eggs going through the postal system. Standard advice is to rest the eggs at room temperature for 24 hours before setting. Obviously incubation technique has the final say on hatching outcome.
