Title: Suffolk tup on Wiltshire Horn
Post by: ScotsGirl on February 17, 2013, 09:16:02 pm
Well I took a chance and let my only Wiltshire run with a young Suffolk tup before selling and the outcome was a lovely big ram lamb. There was a second ewe lamb but unfortunately I left at the wrong time and it drowned in fluid as sac didn't burst.

Anyway I worried for nothing about lamb being too big. Will try and post a pic when I work out how to get from phone to iPad .

Its a nice little lamb.

I would have thought Wilts were big enough to be tupped by most terminal sires from the 2nd lambing onwards.

Lovely lamb - nice and chunky with a big frame to grow in to.  Shame about the ewe lamb  :bouquet:
