Title: Earth Ovens
Post by: jakers on March 07, 2008, 08:43:02 am
Well into the researching of building our first earh oven, soil here is a sandy shale but we have found a very local source of good fine clay free for the digging and have already been getting plenty of "hands on" experiance making test sausages etc.Just wondered if anyone on the list had already bin there dun that.

Any tips advice or coments will be well recivied.

If you look at the site under RECIPES  then BREAD MAKING you will find a link to a great site for earth ovens. Can anyone help with bread recipes and what wood is best to burn in the earth oven PLEASE.

My OH learned to do this in the army. There is a training site on rippledown.com that might help.
