I wondered if anyone has used the Denis Brinicombe pre-lambing tubby and the sheep plus hoof hardener tubby on their flock?   There's not a huge amount of information on the website about each individual tubby, but the pre-lambing one is supposed to promote easier, quicker lambing with active lambs at the end - sounds ideal!   I am also interested in the sheep plus hoof as with this wet weather, hoof problems have been a real issue with a couple of my Suffolk ewes (although the other ewes seem ok).   Whilst I have been using Net-Tex hoof solution and spraying with foot spray, I wondered if this hoof tubby might be worth the investment as an additional aid to clear up problems?  I have used Denis Brinicombe tubbys in the past - the Frobut, and have found them to be excellent in clearing any lesions on the lambs and ewes face/udder, but just wanted any feedback on these other types of tubby before I get the old debit card out!

I'm not sure about the tubbys but I know Lifeline do a pre lambing tub (which i have for my girls) You give it to them 6 weeks pre lambing and promotes all that you said through the ewes colostrum. I believe its pretty good and its advertised in the farmers weekly so would think its pretty good! It was £18 for a 20kg tub!

£18 is a superb price - the "tubby" is almost double that and that's for a 14kg tub - hence the reason why I was keen to get some opinions on it  :o

I use the Lifeline Lamb/Ewe tub pre-lambing and my ewes really tuck into it - much more than the other GP buckets.  It is 22.5 kg and the price last Spring at MVF was £17.75 plus VAT. :thumbsup:
