Yey, I've kicked coffee.
I have gone from
1 - when working in an office, 1 espresso at home and 1 coffee at work
to
2 -No office :excited: and 1 espresso at home
to
3 - working outside :raining: and a lovely bug warm glass of Apple Cider Vinegar and Manuka honey.....try it?!

No contest, It has to be coffee, the real stuff, Either Dalmayer, or Eilles from Germany, freshly made , at least 1 Ltr, strong and black, This administered first thing every morning is enough to save other peoples lives, or at least prevent my teethmarks from being displayed on their shins , Visitors are advised not come near me untill I have had the first hour of the day on my own with my coffee .Nothing else will do.

there is no life without coffee. strong, sweet, natures laxative. ;D

im a disgrace - i must drink about 8 cups a day :o :o :o i know its terrible but i rarely drink alcohol and dont smoke or go out much... :innocent:

Brilliant.........albeit,
Tizaala.........if I may ask (without running the risk of any teeth marks!).....have you tried it?!
Deepinthewoods........my cocktail brings more clarity than coffee I kid you not.....and ACV is packed with fibre but I don't need to elaborate on that point!
pheonix......I'm loving your use of coffee as a vice......we all need a vice (or 2,3 ,4!)
Honestly, it makes me feel so good that I'm thinking of changing my email to....Iam@onewithmyself!!!

I drink coffee by the bucketfull , but not the real stuff , i only do instant , tesco classic @ £2.19 for 200g .
Although i go through 15-20 cups a day , i do drink it very weak .
Can't stand the real stuff though , yuk !
I do the acv thing as well to a degree . I mix 6 garlic cloves , crushed and chopped , with 6 teaspoons of acv , 4 teaspoons of lemon juice and 1 big tablespoon of honey , mixed well .
2 teaspoons 3-4 times a day .
I like tea as well , but it works out to dear for me .

I love real good quality coffee and am often disappointed with the brands I buy but sometimes actually get one I love.......I love the coffee a local hotel make, its in Airth and although the place is a bit posh for me in my stinking dog walking stuff and dirty boots, its actually good value, 2 cups each and 2 home made shortbread biccies each, forget how much but def less than £5.......I now make a jug of coffee around 11 and sometimes warm more up later and again another after our evening meal but due to last night eating late, the late night coffee kept me awake for hours :innocent: :innocent:
Funny, I cannot drink it first thing and not keen on instant coffee,.,not a lot of people like my sugarless fag end stuff but I do ::)

I found instant coffe a false economy as it never satisfied. Making a cafetiere was often a waste. I got a Bosch one cup coffe maker that takes Tassimo cartridges (carte Noir, Lorrenzo, Grand Mere, Kenco and chocolates too) for my last birthday.
It is more expensive way to make real coffee (less waste though) but they do a great range and I can choose between espresso or a cafe longe ( usually Carte Noir) depending upon time of day. The decaf espresso is reserved for "post dinner". My brother and sister have since purchased a Bosch coffee maker since their holiday with me.

I used to drink a lot of very strong coffee when I was studying until one evening after we treated outseoves to a 2.2 litre flask. I filled the coffee maker with exceptionally strong stuff so the flask was full and took it into my study and drank the lot. My OH came upstairs and told me I really ought to think about bed as it was midnight and I had a 9am lecture the next morning. I felt wide awake but thought I ought to get some sleep so took a Nytol tablet.
Then lay in bed while my head did somersaults with the caffeine fighting the sleeping tablet until around 3am (maybe later) when the Nytol won. Why I hadn't thought about the caffeine, I do not know, but I learned my lesson when I drove the 45 minute trip into uni then tried to stay awake during the 1 1/2 hour lecture while still half asleep. Last time I drank coffee at night.
These days I drink coffee only rarely(I have a Bodum that makes just one cup) and don't drink tea at all. I just drink either hot or cold water or the occasional hot chocolate. :yum:

stowfords press, with a slice.
Now that really is talking my language.....and as it's west country Wednesday, an event created purely for the appreciation of cider.......I think I'll pop to the olde off license very soon :innocent:
-
oooh i forgot about that old excuse. cheers!!

Happygolucky - what the Lemon tea ?
It sounds pretentious but the lemon tea must be drank from a glass - ideally held in a metal cup. You can play with the lemon or even a sugar cube as you sip it and watch the world go by ( well in the old days of city cafes you could before soddin Starbucks took over the world). ;D
Apple tea in Istanbul whilst being ripped off when buying a rug is pretty good too. ;D
-
as is mint tea in morocco :innocent:
-
I replaced my decent coffee (as in proper, coffee grounds) with instant coffee......
......only cos OH really doesn't like proper coffee and loves instant
I AM MAD :roflanim: :roflanim: :roflanim:
Sometimes I do get a real yearning for proper stuff and I make it :relief:
