ok whats the best table duck to rear or X.... I LIKE BIG BREASTS  :P

Me too - rub liberally in butter and enjoy after just a quick flash in the pan.  :innocent:
We cured some in a sugar,spice and salt cure then smoked them in apple chips. Amazing !! Muscovey of course.

i have a mate who works on a duck farm he gets me some day olds from time to time i killed the last lot at 8 weeks old and thay were very nice and thay were about 3kg each

i Wolud think that they have a lot of alysbury in them but years of breeding to get them to grow fast , i have keep-ed pure alysbrys before and they are a lot slower growing , Chris

i can get supplies of a commercial alysbury meat bird thats probably what they are..... 50p each week old

I hatched some saxony this year and the smaller of the drakes (we kept the better one to breed from this year) was 6lbs plucked and gutted and was fabulous for Christmas dinner so will definitely be doing them again.
