A new can of black treacle. I used some treacle I had in the cupboard for marmalade this week and realised it had a bb date of Jan 2007.
Thought it was time I had a new tin ;D

Bet the old one was OK though

Bionic, your cupboard sounds a wee bit like mine :innocent: I am always finding the odd thing that should have been used years ago :o
-
I found one of these at the back of my cupboard it had exploded and there was treacle everywhere ;D

.........treacle for marmalade.......... huh, what am i missing here?

I treated myself to a new diary today. TBH I was disgusted in Smiths to find they were still full price even though the calendars were half price.

I was making Oxford marmalade which has treacle and either whisky or rum in it. Chose whisky this time round. I hate marmalade myself by OH loves it.

You are so good to him, Sally.

Hum, treacle. My dad bought some and tried to off load it on to me but I don't really know what to do with it.

I use it very rarely, hence the reason the tin was so out of date. Mostly used for christmas cake type recipes.

OOOh im not a fan of marmalade but whiskey and treacle, quite yummy, do you spread it spoon it or sook it up a straw for the best result?!
-
If you try it with a straw it will be a bit like trying to suck up a McDonalds milkshake, almost impossible ;D
Spoon it out is the best bet.
